Trees are sold and packaged in bundles of 10. Ex: ordering "2" is equal to ordering 20 trees. Multiple species cannot be combined into a bundle.

Description

Scots Pine - Pinus sylvestris 

Bundle of 10 seedlings. Each seedling measures 12" - 24" tall. 

Scots Pine is a very hardy, adaptable evergreen. It tolerates many different soil types and, once established, is moderately drought tolerant. It is one of the most common trees used in windbreaks and shelterbelts. Scots Pine is suitable for single or multi-row shelterbelts, providing year-round protection, erosion control, and thermal cover. 

Height at maturity: 60 ft 

Width at maturity: 16 ft  

Lifespan: 50+ years 

Growth Rate: 1-2 ft/year 

Light conditions: partial to full sun 

Soil conditions: prefers dry to average moisture levels with very well-drained soil.  Moderately drought tolerant once established.

In-row Spacing: 10-12 ft.  

Between Row Spacing: 16 ft. 

Care Tips: 

  • Protect during establishment. Young trees browsed by deer; porcupines eat the bark.
