Trees are sold and packaged in bundles of 10. Ex: ordering "2" is equal to ordering 20 trees. Multiple species cannot be combined into a bundle.

Description

White Spruce - Picea glauca

Bundle of 10 seedlings. Each seedling is two years old and measures 12" - 24" tall. 

White spruce is a very hardy, long-lived evergreen tree and is native to Saskatchewan. It stands up well against the cold, wind, heat and drought. White spruce requires little maintenance and is suitable for soil stabilization and multi-row shelterbelts, planted beside existing rows or companion planted with fast-growing poplars in the same row spaced at 10 ft. apart. White Spruce is important for providing food and shelter to wildlife species, including deer, birds, porcupines, and small rodents.

Width at maturity: 20 ft  

Lifespan: 50+ years 

Growth Rate: 1-2 ft./year 

Light conditions: shade to full sun 

Soil conditions: moist, well-drained, loamy, sandy, clay soils   

In-row Spacing: 12 ft.  

Between Row Spacing: 16 ft.
