BALSAM POPLAR (Populus balsamifera) NATIVE TO NORTH AMERICA

The Balsam Poplar is a fast-growing, hardy deciduous tree well known for its fragrant spring buds and adaptability to northern climates. It plays an important ecological role by stabilizing riverbanks, improving soil conditions, and providing food and habitat for wildlife. Balsam Poplar is especially valuable in reforestation and reclamation projects due to its resilience and rapid growth.

Growing Conditions:
• Hardy and highly tolerant of cold climates
• Prefers moist, well-drained soils but adapts to a wide range of soil types
• Tolerates seasonal flooding and poor soils
• Requires full sun for best growth
• Fast growing
• Large tree – 25–40 m (80–130 ft) with a spread of 9–15 m (30–50 ft)

Information about Ordering –

Trees are sold and packaged in bundles of 10. Ex: ordering "2" is equal to ordering 20 trees. Multiple species cannot be combined into a bundle.
