Trees are sold and packaged in bundles of 10. Ex: ordering "2" is equal to ordering 20 trees. Multiple species cannot be combined into a bundle.

Description

Acute Willow - Salix acutifolia

Bundle of 10 seedlings. Each seedling measures 12" - 24" tall. 

This fast-growing small tree is important to native pollinators each spring due to its good source of pollen. Due to its fast growth rate, it's a good choice for developing a hardy shelterbelt or windbreak in a shorter amount of time compared to spruce and poplar. 

Height at maturity: 20-40 ft 

Width at maturity: 35 ft  

Lifespan: 30-50 years 

Growth Rate: 6ft/year 

Light conditions: part sun  - full sun 

Soil conditions: Normal to wet soil moisture, prefers moist areas 

In-row Spacing: 8 ft.  

Between Row Spacing: 16 ft. 

Notes: 

  • Produces fluff/fuzz
  • Low potential for suckering
  • Good source of pollen for bees and other insects
